About the role:

As a Junior Software Engineer, you will work alongside experienced Software and QA Engineers to design, develop, test, and maintain modern software solutions across the Comrad platform. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their career who is eager to learn, enjoys solving problems, and wants to build software that supports healthcare professionals and improves patient outcomes.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Contributing to the development and maintenance of software applications and services.
  • Collaborating with engineers, product teams, and stakeholders to deliver high quality solutions.
  • Participating in code reviews, Agile ceremonies, and team discussions.
  • Troubleshooting issues and support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Writing clean, maintainable, secure, and well documented code.
  • Learning and applying modern software engineering practices and tools.
  • Using AI enabled tools responsibly to improve productivity and problem solving.

About you:

  • A tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Foundational knowledge of programming and software development principles.
  • Exposure to technologies such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, HTML, CSS, React, APIs, databases, or similar technologies.
  • Experience through study, internships, or personal projects building software applications.
  • Familiarity with Git or other version control tools.
  • Strong communication, problem solving, and collaboration skills.
  • A passion for emerging technologies, particularly AI assisted development tools.
