💰 Salary: $135,000 – $155,000 FTE (depending on experience)

Coastal Medical Limited (CML) is a progressive, multi-site primary care organisation supporting communities across Taranaki. We are seeking experienced and motivated Physician Associates to join our clinical team and help deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across our clinic network. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a supportive general practice environment, alongside GPs, ECP’s, nurses, allied health professionals, and administration teams.
👩⚕️ About the Role
As a Physician Associate, you will provide comprehensive, culturally appropriate, and holistic primary care services to individuals, families, and whānau. Working within your agreed scope of practice and in partnership with a supervising GP, you will:
- Conduct patient assessments including medical histories and physical examinations
- Formulate differential diagnoses and contribute to treatment planning
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests
- Manage acute and chronic conditions
- Deliver preventative care and patient education
- Contribute to continuity of care through individualised care planning
- Participate in clinical discussions and team meetings
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
Clinical supervision may be provided on-site or remotely as part of a collaborative team-based model of care.

Essential:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Associate Studies (or NZ-recognised equivalent)
- Eligibility to practise in New Zealand
- Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Commitment to culturally safe practice
Preferred:
- Experience in primary care/general practice
