Permanent & Fixed-Term | Full-Time, Part-Time & School Hours Available

💰 Salary: $135,000 – $155,000 FTE (depending on experience)

Coastal Medical Limited (CML) is a progressive, multi-site primary care organisation supporting communities across Taranaki. We are seeking experienced and motivated Physician Associates to join our clinical team and help deliver high-quality, patient-centred care across our clinic network. This is an exciting opportunity to work collaboratively within a supportive general practice environment, alongside GPs, ECP’s, nurses, allied health professionals, and administration teams.

👩‍⚕️ About the Role

As a Physician Associate, you will provide comprehensive, culturally appropriate, and holistic primary care services to individuals, families, and whānau. Working within your agreed scope of practice and in partnership with a supervising GP, you will:

  • Conduct patient assessments including medical histories and physical examinations
  • Formulate differential diagnoses and contribute to treatment planning
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests
  • Manage acute and chronic conditions
  • Deliver preventative care and patient education
  • Contribute to continuity of care through individualised care planning
  • Participate in clinical discussions and team meetings
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records

Clinical supervision may be provided on-site or remotely as part of a collaborative team-based model of care.

Essential:

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Commitment to culturally safe practice

Preferred:

  • Experience in primary care/general practice
