ABOUT THE ROLE

We are looking for someone who has experience in a variety of facility maintenance roles to join our great Facilities team and bring a can-do attitude! You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair work at several of our commercial buildings in the East Tamaki area.

This is a full-time permanent position operating 40 hours a week Monday to Friday with ordinary hours ranging between 6.30 AM – 17:00 PM with some flexibility when required.

KEY RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Painting using hand tools and machines
  • Minor drywall – plastering repairs
  • Minor plumbing repairs
  • Minor carpentry and basic fitting work.
  • Preventative maintenance.
  • Storage Racking Replacements & Installs
  • Other general handyman jobs, moving furniture / relocating equipment, installing signage etc.
  • Elevated Works using Scissor Lifts on Site

THE RIGHT PERSON FOR THIS ROLE WILL:

  • Have Knowledge of basic internet and email operations 
  • Hold a clean, valid driver’s (license class 1) for traveling between sites or picking up supplies.
  • Be experienced using a variety of hand-held and power tools.
  • Understand Contractor Management PTW Requirements
  • Excellent time management and task tracking skills
  • Have strong people skills with a safety mindset
  • ExibitStrong troubleshooting skills to diagnose issues across diverse building systems efficiently
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, stoop, reach with hands and arms, climb ladders,
  • Tasks include the need for hand finger dexterity, clear speech, hearing/listening, reading and writing, lifting and moving furniture and related material and lifting and moving heavy equipment.
