Description

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Bar Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bar, ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory, and maintaining a clean and safe environment. The Assistant Bar Manager will also be responsible for training and supervising staff, creating schedules, and ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Bar Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the bar, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and staff supervision
  • Ensure exceptional customer service by greeting customers, taking orders, and resolving any issues or complaints
  • Train and supervise staff, including bartenders, servers, and barbacks, and ensure they are following all policies and procedures
  • Create schedules for staff and ensure adequate coverage during peak hours
  • Manage inventory and order supplies as needed to ensure adequate stock levels
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment by ensuring all equipment is properly maintained and cleaned, and all safety protocols are followed
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety regulations, liquor laws, and labor laws
  • Assist with developing and implementing marketing and promotional strategies to increase sales and revenue

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management or related field preferred
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bar or restaurant management role
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
  • Knowledge of liquor laws and regulations
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and point-of-sale systems
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
