Our opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a National Planning Manager who is well versed and experienced in providing strategic direction, to lead, and ensure effective execution of all Planning activities to ensure optimisation of manufacturing, inventory, and service levels to join our Auckland offices and provide support to our Mount Maunganui and Christchurch sites. The role will have 1 direct report.
Responsibilities of the role:
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with site management teams to address capacity/supply-based issues
- Demonstrated ability to ensure production plans are issued timeously to sites, production performances are monitored, and any issues are escalated appropriately
- Proven ability to balance production plans to minimise overtime at production sites
- Effectively manage DIFOT (deliver in full on time) and MIFOT (manufacturing in full and on time) with sites and relevant stakeholders
- Ensure distribution planning is completed on time & contingencies are in place for planned and unplanned supply chain interruptions.
- Demonstrated ability to work closely with logistics to prioritise deliveries/products
- Ensure daily alerts/exceptions are reviewed to expedite and proactively ensure no potential out of stocks
- Ensuring OOS reporting is completed on time and all customers are notified
- Determine and review inventory policies including lot size, rounding values, lead time, safety stock policies for all finished goods/raw materials/packaging/purchased items.
- Demonstrated ability to provide analysis, reports, and information to senior management on all activities and ensure management and control of total inventory to target levels.

About You:
- Extensive experience in operations planning using D365
- Proven experience in high volume FMCG, Food manufacturing environment
- Provide clear, visible leadership and strategic direction ensuring individual accountability, competencies and performance are aligned to business objectives.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer skills including the use of Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel preferred
- Self-motivation with a high degree of attention to detail, ownership, and accountability for results.
- Tertiary level qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g., Supply Chain & Logistics, Accounting i.e., CA qualification
