Machine Operator / Food Blending Technician

Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated Machine Operator / Food Blending Technician to join our manufacturing team in Christchurch, Canterbury. This permanent, full-time role is essential for ensuring the efficient operation of our food blending processes, contributing to the production of high-quality products. The ideal candidate will play a key role in maintaining equipment, adhering to safety standards, and optimising production workflows, thereby supporting our commitment to excellence in the food manufacturing industry.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and monitor blending machinery to ensure optimal performance and product quality.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) for food blending processes and equipment operation.
• Conduct regular maintenance checks on machinery and report any issues to the supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Assist in the preparation and measurement of ingredients for blending.
• Record production data and maintain accurate logs of blending operations.
• Collaborate with team members to improve production efficiency and resolve any operational challenges.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience as a machine operator or in a similar role within the food manufacturing industry.
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and communicate clearly.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including potential overtime.
• A relevant qualification in food technology or manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
