Drawing on insights, data, technology and AI, you’ll help ensure Business Canterbury remains the first choice for business support, connection, capability building, and advocacy.

As our new Marketing Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading the development and delivery of our marketing and communications strategy, growing awareness and strong engagement across our membership and services, strengthening our brand presence, and helping amplify the voice of Canterbury business. You will also like the mix of strategic and operational hands on delivery.

We are fiercely focused on impact, and our vibrant team thrives on collaboration, innovation, and making a real difference for our members, customers, and community.

What You’ll Do

Marketing Strategy & Growth

Lead the development and execution of our marketing and communications strategy, ensuring strong member acquisition, retention, and engagement across our diverse service offering. Drive campaigns that deliver measurable growth and support organisational goals.

Oversee our integrated communications programme, ensuring content is relevant, timely, targeted, and engaging across all channels. Lead the planning and delivery of marketing campaigns, eDMs, social media, and content initiatives that strengthen our connection with members and customers.

Advocacy, Media & Public Relations

Work alongside our Chief Executive and Head of Advocacy and Strategy to amplify the voice of Canterbury business through media engagement, submissions, thought leadership, presentations, and strategic communications. Help position Business Canterbury as a trusted and influential advocate for the region’s business community.

Brand & Digital Presence

Champion the Business Canterbury brand across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency, quality, and impact. Oversee website content, marketing collateral, and digital channels to ensure they reflect our value proposition and support organisational objectives.

Leadership & Performance

Lead and develop a high-performing marketing team, foster collaboration across the organisation, manage budgets and performance reporting, and ensure marketing activity is aligned to strategic priorities and delivers measurable outcomes.

If it involves growing engagement, elevating our brand, telling compelling stories, strengthening our advocacy impact, or creating smarter ways of working, you’ll be at the centre of it.
