About the role

BTW is seeking a Civil and Three Waters Engineer to join our growing team in Hamilton. You’ll work on a variety of civil, environmental, and three waters projects, making a real impact across the Waikato region.

You’ll be a core part of our engineering team, collaborating closely with colleagues across offices. The role is primarily design-focused, with opportunities to work on construction, investigations, and project management.

Key responsibilities

• Provide engineering design services and practical solutions from issue identification to construction.
• Undertake civil design, investigations, reporting, and sketches to professional standards.
• Manage projects, prepare contract documentation, supervise works, and liaise with clients and stakeholders.
• Support other team members as needed across water, civil, and structural engineering.

About you

• Qualification in Civil Engineering or similar (e.g., Bachelor of Engineering – Civil)
• 3+ year’s NZ experience in civil, three waters, or environmental engineering
• Committed to timely, high-quality deliverables
• Knowledge of AutoCAD Civil 3D is an advantage
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and active listening skills
