About Us

We are a well-established civil contractor delivering subdivision, drainage, and infrastructure projects across Canterbury. With a strong pipeline of work, we’re looking for a skilled Mobile Plant Operator to join our team and hit the ground running.

The Role

You’ll be operating modern machinery across a variety of civil projects including subdivisions, roading prep, and drainage works. This is a hands-on role where you’ll be trusted to work efficiently and safely.

What You’ll Be Doing Operating excavators, loaders, and rollers Trenching, drainage installation, and backfilling

• Operating excavators (primarily up to 30T), loaders, and rollers
• Trenching, drainage installation, and backfilling
• Site cuts, prep, and final trim work (bonus if you can trim well)
• Working off plans and levels (laser/GPS experience a plus)
• Daily machine checks and basic servicing
• Supporting the crew with labouring when required

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience in civil construction or drainage
• WTR endorsements (essential)
• Full Class 1 licence (Class 2+ highly regarded)
• Ability to read plans and work to grade
• Strong focus on health & safety
• Reliable, takes pride in your work, and shows up ready to go

Bonus Points For

• GPS machine control experience
• Final trim / finishing skills
• Experience in subdivisions or council work
• Confined space or drainage tickets
