He Rei Kā Niho is an oral health initiative delivered in partnership with Kaitiaki Niho, focused on improving access to care through community-based, prevention-focused, and mobile outreach services.
About the Role
This Project Coordinator role is responsible for coordinating the delivery of the He Rei Kā Niho programme, ensuring services are well planned, organised, and delivered effectively across community and clinical settings.
You will work across operational, stakeholder, and delivery functions to ensure smooth implementation of outreach clinics, systems, and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Project Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate planning and delivery of outreach clinics (mobile and community-based) and hub-based services
- Manage schedules, logistics and service delivery timelines
- Support mobilisation and ongoing implementation of the programme
Operational & Systems Coordination
- Oversee coordination of referral pathways, appointment systems and whānau engagement processes
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of operational systems, processes and tools
- Maintain programme documentation, templates and workflows
Data, Reporting & Monitoring
- Maintain accurate programme data and reporting systems
- Monitor service access, utilisation and whānau outcomes
- Contribute to reporting, dashboards and continuous improvement initiatives
Stakeholder & Partner Coordination
- Coordinate across Awarua Whānau Services, Kaitiaki Niho and community partners
- Support communication with whānau and stakeholders to ensure seamless service delivery
- Assist with planning and documentation for governance and operational hui
Programme Support Functions
- Support workforce coordination including training, development and recruitment activities
- Coordinate training schedules and maintain workforce readiness
- Support health and safety systems and compliance requirements across programme delivery

Skills & Experience
- Experience in project coordination, programme delivery or similar roles
- Background in health, social services or community settings
- Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple workstreams
- Experience working with systems, reporting and data
- Strong relationship management and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively across multiple stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Full NZ driver licence
- High attention to detail and ability to work proactively
