The Royal Australian and New Zealand College
of Psychiatrists (RANZCP) is responsible for training, educating and
representing psychiatrists in Australia and Aotearoa New Zealand. The College

About the role
Full-time | Permanent
| Melbourne, CBD (Hybrid)
We’re seeking a Coordinator to support and enhance education
pathways for Specialist International Medical Graduates (SIMGs).
In this role, you’ll oversee and support Specialist IMG application and assessment processes, and provide
day-to-day support committee and governance activities, and contribute to
ongoing reform of SIMG education pathways. You’ll work closely with internal
teams, assessors and external regulators to ensure processes are compliant,
efficient and well managed‑.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working
across priorities, partnering closely with a manager, and taking a proactive
role in improving systems and ways of working in a regulated, purpose driven‑
environment.
Key
Responsibilities
- Oversee and support SIMG
application, assessment, interview and progression processes
- Support the development, implementation, and ongoing administration of
the Accelerated Pathway to Fellowship, including day‑to‑day coordination,
applicant management, documentation, and stakeholder engagement.
- Provide administrative
and governance support to SIMGE related committees
- Prepare documentation,
reports and advice for committee consideration
- Coordinate assessment
panels and maintain assessor accreditation
- Monitor and manage timelines,
data and reporting to ensure regulatory compliance
- Contribute to and
support process improvement and pathway reform initiatives
What you’ll bring
- Strong written and verbal communication
skills
- Excellent organisation skills and attention
to detail
- Confidence working with multiple
stakeholders and complex processes
- Ability to work autonomously while
contributing to a collaborative team
- Experience in coordination, administration,
education, health or regulation
- A proactive approach to improving systems
and ways of working
- Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or
valid Australian work rights
