At Equip2, we’re passionate about helping our customers succeed and we’re equally

passionate about building a workplace where people enjoy coming to work. We’re a closeknit team of 16 based in Waingawa, Carterton, and we’re looking for an Accounts Administrator to join us on a 0.8 FTE basis or Full-Time basis.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with numbers, takes pride

in accuracy, and wants to be part of a team that values collaboration, accountability, and a

good sense of humour.

About the Role

You’ll play a key role in keeping our finance processes running smoothly by managing

accounts payable and receivable activities, supporting month-end reporting, and helping

maintain the integrity of our finance systems.

The role is varied and fast-paced, with plenty of opportunity to work across different parts

of the business and contribute ideas that improve how we work.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Processing supplier invoices and credit card transactions

• Preparing domestic supplier payment reports

• Preparing test journals for international supplier payments

• Completing bank reconciliations

• Issuing customer statements and following up overdue accounts

• Processing customer credit applications and supplier account applications

• Supporting month-end reporting activities

• Maintaining accurate financial records and finance system data

• Assisting with process improvements and administrative efficiencies

What We’re Looking For

You’ll likely have previous experience in Accounts Payable or a similar accounts

administration role and enjoy working in an environment where accuracy and organisation

are highly valued.

Ideally you’ll bring:

• Previous accounts payable or accounts administration experience

• Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills

• Exceptional attention to detail

• Strong organisational and time management skills

• Clear and professional communication skills

• The ability to manage changing priorities and deadlines

• Experience with Microsoft Business Central would be a bonus

Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who is a great fit for our team.

The Kind of Person Who Thrives Here

You’ll fit in well if you:

• Take ownership and follow through on commitments

• Look for better ways of doing things

• Communicate openly and respectfully

• Support teammates without being asked

• Enjoy working in a practical, no-ego environment

• Are curious about new technology and interested in exploring how AI and other digital tools can improve efficiency and ways of working

Why Join Equip2?

• Be part of a supportive, collaborative team

• Work in a business where your contribution is visible and valued

• Opportunity to contribute ideas and help improve business processes

• Work with a team that values both high performance and having fun along the way

Location and Hours

This role is based in our Waingawa (Carterton) office and is offered on a 0.8 FTE basis – or on a full-time basis with some additional tasks to support the wider team. Applicants must hold a valid work visa or have NZ residency.

If you’re an organised, proactive person who enjoys numbers and loves accuracy while being part of a great team, we’d love to hear from you.
