ARC Vets are welcoming applications for a qualified veterinary nurse to join our imaging team.

Competitive hourly rate of $30 – $35 gross per hour plus 20% night and weekend allowance offered, as well as CPD allowance.

Days/Hours of work
- Currently Monday to Friday
- 8-hour shifts = 8:00am – 4:30pm
Main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting with and running diagnostic imaging procedures including ultrasound, x-ray and CT
- Working with the imaging team and wider hospital to keep an efficient imaging schedule
- Effectively communicating with others to triage imaging cases
- Patient handling and monitoring
- Preparing patients for procedures and post-sedation recovery
- Communicating with clients regarding outpatient ultrasounds
- Assisting with invoicing and other administrative tasks
- Assisting with different aspects of radiation safety including dosimetry and PPE care
What do you need to be successful in this role?
- Enjoy client communication and administrative tasks
- Be enthusiastic about veterinary nursing
- Have a good work ethic
- Be able to perform low stress handling
- Be able to communicate effectively and handle a fast-paced work environment
What you will have:
- Diploma in Veterinary Nursing or Bachelor of Veterinary Technology degree (or overseas equivalent) and/or at least 2 years of veterinary nursing experience
- Experience with anaesthesia
- Ability to perform triage, place IV catheters, take blood samples, take radiographs, etc
