About the role

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced practitioner who embodies our values of Care, Integrity and Dedication to join our Accommodation team. In this role, you will support victim-survivors of family and domestic violence to access safe accommodation and tailored support through our purpose-built facilities across Perth Metro South.

Working closely with the Refuge Team Leader, you will provide trauma-informed case management, informal counselling, advocacy, and practical and emotional support that promotes safety, healing and recovery. You will develop and review risk assessments, safety plans and support plans, while working collaboratively with clients to achieve their goals.

You will also provide direction and guidance to Advocates, helping coordinate support that is responsive, effective and aligned with each client’s needs.

This is a full-time, fixed-term contract until 30 December 2027 with the possibility of extension or permanency.

Key Selection Criteria

1. Qualifications in Community Services, Mental Health or Social Work.
2. Comprehensive experience working with individuals who have experienced family and/or domestic violence, mental health, drug and alcohol and or crisis in their lives.
3. Specialist experience and knowledge of using Risk Assessment and Safety Plans.
4. Experience in working within a Case Management framework and developing and reviewing support plans.
5. Expert knowledge of referral pathways and community services.
6. Solving problems of moderate difficulty using knowledge, judgement, and organisational skills. Providing expert advice to other team members

The successful candidate will need to possess:

• National Police Clearance Certificate
• Working with Children Card
• WA driver’s license with good driving records
