WE’RE HIRING | Scheduling Officer
Your Nursing Care is growing, and we’re looking for a Scheduling / Rostering Officer to join our team in Hervey Bay.
This position will commence at 18 hours per week on a part-time basis, with the opportunity for increased and additional hours as operational needs arise.
The role offers a hybrid working arrangement and will support the day-to-day scheduling and coordination across our Community Nursing, Support Services and Training Centre teams.
What you’ll be doing:
• Coordinating and maintaining staff rosters across Nursing and Support Services
• Supporting scheduling requirements for our Training Centre
• Managing staff availability, leave, vacancies and shift changes
• Coordinate short-notice staff coverage and respond to scheduling changes efficiently
• Communicating with staff regarding shifts and scheduling
• Working closely with our Coordinators to match staffing with client and service requirements
• Monitoring upcoming rosters and proactively identifying gaps
• Supporting continuity of care and efficient staff allocation
• Maintain accurate scheduling information using designated systems
We’re looking for someone who is organised, reliable and confident managing competing priorities. You’ll need strong communication skills, excellent attention to detail and the ability to think ahead in a busy community care environment.
Previous experience in rostering, scheduling or administration within disability, aged care, community services or healthcare is highly regarded.
Proficiency with rostering software (Astalty or Shiftcare).
Understanding of relevant industrial awards and employment agreements.
