About the Role

As a Vacation Care Educator, you will:

• Deliver engaging and inclusive play-based activities
• Support children’s wellbeing, routines, and individual needs
• Foster positive relationships with children, families, and colleagues
• Create safe, welcoming, and well-supervised environments
• Assist in maintaining compliance with legislative and regulatory requirements
• Contribute to high-quality our School Holiday programs

• Has a genuine passion for working with children
• Communicates effectively and works well within a team
• Is reliable, proactive, and committed to delivering quality care
• Understands and follows policies, procedures, and safety requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

To be eligible for this role, you must hold:

• An ACECQA-approved Certificate III qualification or higher
• Current First Aid (HLTAID012) certification, renewed every three years
• Current CPR (HLTAID009) certification, renewed annually
• A valid Working with Children Check (Employee)

YMCA Geelong Board and Management are committed to the safety and well-being of children and young people in accordance with our Child Safety and Wellbeing framework. All applicants must undergo satisfactory screening prior to commencement, including but not limited to:

• a national criminal history check;
• an international criminal history checks where applicants have worked overseas;
• holding or obtaining a valid Working with Children Card;
• Three reference checks.

The successfully appointed applicant will be required to adhere to the Child Safety and Well-being Policies and practices, which include: Child Safety and Well-being induction, annual SCYP training programs & committing to upholding the safety and well-being of children and young people throughout terms of employment.
