Living Cultures Program & Steering
Committee Coordination
- ·Coordinate the implementation of the Living Cultures
Program, Living Cultures Activities Plan, and associated projects in
accordance with the Partnership Agreement, YAC Strategic Plan and Living
Cultures Steering Committee (LCSC) priorities.
Project Planning and Delivery
- ·Develop and coordinate project plans, implementation
schedules, budgets, procurement, contracts, risk registers and reporting
frameworks across multiple concurrent projects.
Operations, Governance and Financial Management
- ·Support project governance, financial administration,
procurement and contract management in accordance with Living Cultures and
YAC policies and project management frameworks.
Community Engagement
and Cultural Programs
- ·Coordinate Family Camps, workshops, on-Country
activities, consultations, educational initiatives and community engagement
activities.
Reporting and
Communications
- ·Prepare project reports, Board papers, funding
acquittals, briefing papers, presentations, newsletters and stakeholder
communications.

and Documentation
- · Maintain project
records, registers, meeting minutes, document control systems, travel
arrangements and event logistics.
Stakeholder
Relationship Management
- ·Develop and maintain productive relationships with
Yinhawangka communities, Elders, cultural practitioners, partner
organisations, researchers, consultants and funding agencies.
Indigenous Cultural
Governance
- ·Ensure all projects comply with Indigenous Cultural
and Intellectual Property (ICIP), Indigenous Data Sovereignty, ethical
research standards and First Nations cultural governance frameworks.
Safety, Risk and
Workplace Compliance
- ·Comply with organisational policies, Work Health and
Safety (WHS) requirements, risk management procedures and safe work
practices.
Strategic and Organisational Support
- ·Contribute to strategic initiatives and undertake
additional duties consistent with the role and organisational priorities.

Essential Qualifications and
Experience
- ·Demonstrated
experience managing multiple projects simultaneously, including planning,
implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- · Experience coordinating community engagement
activities, workshops, meetings, and stakeholder consultation processes.
- · Demonstrated experience preparing project
documentation including project plans, reports, budgets, briefing papers,
funding acquittals and presentations.
- · Experience monitoring project budgets,
timelines, risks and deliverables.
- · Strong organisational and administrative
skills with the ability to prioritise competing deadlines.
- · Excellent written and verbal communication
skills, including report writing and stakeholder correspondence.
- · Demonstrated ability to build collaborative
relationships with Aboriginal communities, Traditional Owners, government
agencies, consultants and external partners.
- · High level proficiency in Microsoft Office
Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience using project
management and document management systems.
Desirable
- ·Experience
working within an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation (ACCO),
Prescribed Body Corporate (PBC), Native Title organisation or similar
community-based organisation.
- · Knowledge of Aboriginal cultural heritage,
Traditional Owner governance and community engagement principles.
- · Experience coordinating cultural heritage,
language revitalisation, education, youth, wellbeing or community development
programs.
- · Understanding of Indigenous Cultural and
Intellectual Property (ICIP) principles.
