Yilli Rreung Housing Aboriginal Corporation is committed to supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and communities through quality housing services. We are seeking a motivated and organised Property Officer to join our Housing team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in property, housing or tenancy management who is passionate about making a positive difference within the community.

About the Role

As a Property Officer, you will be responsible for managing tenancy and property-related matters across our housing portfolio. You will work closely with tenants, contractors, community organisations and internal teams to ensure high-quality housing services are delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage tenancy applications, agreements and property allocations.
  • Coordinate property maintenance and issue work orders.
  • Conduct routine property inspections.
  • Monitor rental payments and assist with rental arrears.
  • Liaise with tenants, contractors, government agencies and community organisations.
  • Maintain accurate tenancy records and reports.
  • Provide general property administration and support.

About You

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Experience in property management, housing, tenancy management or a similar role.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
  • Sound computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • A current driver’s licence.
  • A willingness to obtain a National Police Check and OCHRE Card.

A Certificate IV in Property Services or a related qualification is highly regarded.
