Description

Summary:

We are seeking a motivated and community-focused Housing Coordinator to join our team in Yarrawonga. This role is responsible for supporting tenancy and property management services, assisting tenants with housing enquiries and applications, coordinating housing support services, and maintaining positive relationships with tenants, community members, and key stakeholders. The ideal candidate will have strong communication, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment while supporting positive housing outcomes for Aboriginal communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with tenancy and property management services across Yilli communities
  • Support tenants with housing applications, tenancy enquiries, and housing-related matters
  • Coordinate and monitor maintenance requests and property inspections
  • Liaise with tenants, community organisations, government agencies, and service providers
  • Maintain accurate records, tenant files, and housing documentation using housing management systems
  • Assist with rent collection monitoring, arrears follow-up, and tenancy compliance
  • Support community engagement activities, meetings, and tenant education initiatives
  • Ensure compliance with housing policies, procedures, and the NT Residential Tenancies Act

Qualifications / Experience:

  • Previous experience in housing, property management, community services, or administration
  • Strong communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and meet deadlines
  • Experience using Microsoft Office and housing management systems such as Chintaro (desirable)
  • Understanding of Aboriginal communities and culturally appropriate service delivery
  • Current driver’s licence
  • Police Clearance and OCHRE Card (or willingness to obtain)
