An exciting opportunity exists for a commercially driven Sales Account Manager to take ownership of a well-established Queensland territory, with a strong focus on customer growth, account retention, and category expansion.

We are particularly interested in individuals with experience in the Discount Variety, General Merchandise, FMCG, Independent Retail, Grocery, Hardware or Retail sectors. Whether your background is in field sales, account management, merchandising, category management, store leadership or multi-site retail management, we’d love to hear from you.

About You
You will bring:
- Experience within Discount Variety, General Merchandise, FMCG, Retail, Grocery or Wholesale environments
- Strong understanding of retail operations, merchandising, ranging, and category management
- Ability to identify customer opportunities and translate them into commercial outcomes
- Experience in account management, sales, merchandising, category support, store management, or multi-site retail leadership
- Strong relationship-building and customer engagement skills
- Commercial awareness with a customer-first mindset
- A proactive and self-driven approach with the ability to work autonomously
- Confidence presenting product ranges and category solutions
- Willingness to travel regularly throughout Queensland
- A current driver’s licence
Candidates with existing relationships across independent retail, discount variety, grocery, hardware, or general merchandise channels will be highly regarded.
About the Role
Reporting to the National Sales Manager, you will:
- Take ownership of a Queensland territory covering metropolitan and regional customers
- Build and strengthen long-term customer relationships
- Deliver relevant and commercially focused product and category solutions
- Identify and convert new business opportunities
- Maintain and exceed sales budgets and targets
- Execute customer visits, product presentations, and range reviews
- Provide valuable market, customer, competitor, and product insights
- Work closely with internal teams to deliver exceptional customer outcomes
