About this role:
Wormall Civil is seeking an experienced Health, Safety & Environment Advisor to support our growing portfolio of civil construction and land development projects throughout the Southwest region of Western Australia. This is a dynamic, site-based role supporting multiple projects and requires regular travel between sites. Working closely with Project Managers, Supervisors and operational teams, you will play a key role in promoting a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance, and driving continuous improvement across our projects.
Reporting to the Senior HSE Advisor, you will provide practical health, safety and environmental support across multiple civil construction projects throughout the Southwest region. This is a field-focused role requiring regular travel between project sites and strong engagement with Project Managers, Superintendents, Supervisors and operational teams. You will play a key role in supporting compliance, managing risk, driving continuous improvement and fostering a positive safety culture across the business.
The position is full-time Monday to Friday, generally working site operational hours of 7:00am to 5:00pm. A fully maintained company vehicle and fuel card is provided to support the travel requirements of the role.

What your day will look like:
- Support the implementation and continuous improvement of Wormall Civil’s HSE Management System.
- Conduct site inspections, audits and field leadership activities.
- Coach and mentor supervisors and work crews to improve HSE performance and risk management outcomes.
- Facilitate risk assessments and review Safe Work Method Statements (SWMS).
- Monitor compliance with legislative, client and company requirements.
- Assist with incident investigations and ICAM investigations where required.
- Analyse safety performance data, trends and leading indicators.
- Support environmental compliance requirements across project sites.
- Participate in client and regulatory interactions as required.
- Promote a proactive and positive safety culture throughout the business.
About you:

You will possess:

- A sound understanding of WHS legislation and requirements.
Essential Requirements:
- Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety.
- Minimum 3 – 5 years experience in an HSE Advisor role.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within the civil construction, earthworks or infrastructure sector.
- Current WA Driver’s Licence.
- Construction White Card.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Microsoft 365 applications.
- Unrestricted Australian working rights.
Highly Regarded:
- Diploma of Work Health & Safety.
- Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
- ICAM Lead Investigator.
- ISO 45001 Internal or Lead Auditor qualification.
- Experience in land development and subdivision projects.
- Experience working with heavy mobile plant and earthmoving operations.
