1 year fixed-term full-time contract (Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm)

Summary:

We are seeking a strong, culturally grounded leader to manage our Drug and Alcohol Residential Rehabilitation Service in Watson, ACT.

This is an exciting opportunity to lead a residential rehabilitation program focused on culturally safe, trauma-informed and recovery-focused care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. The successful applicant will oversee the day-to-day operations of a 24/7 residential service, lead a multidisciplinary workforce and drive high-quality service delivery and positive resident outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Workforce management and supervision
  • Service delivery and program oversight
  • Compliance, governance and reporting
  • Budget and resource management
  • Risk management and continuous improvement
  • Stakeholder and community engagement

About You:

  • Leadership and management experience within Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), health, community services and/or residential care settings
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and operational service delivery
  • Strong communication, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of trauma-informed and recovery-focused practice
  • Experience managing risk, compliance and reporting requirements
  • Commitment to Aboriginal community-controlled health principles and improving outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities

Essential Requirements:

  • Relevant qualification in Community Services, Health, Alcohol and Other Drugs (AOD), Management or related field
  • Current Driver Licence
  • Senior First Aid Certificate (or willingness to obtain)
  • Working With Vulnerable People Check (WWVP)
  • Ability to complete a National Police Check
