Summary

As the Online Edit – Team Leader, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the Online Edit team within our media organisation based in Canberra. This permanent, full-time position requires a mid-senior level professional who is passionate about delivering high-quality content and driving editorial excellence. You will be responsible for managing the online editing process, ensuring that all content meets our standards and resonates with our audience, thereby enhancing our brand’s reputation in the media industry.

The Role

The Online Editing Team Leader leads a team of online editors within WildBear’s finishing function, supporting the day-to-day delivery of high-quality final outputs across productions.

The role is responsible for coordinating team workflows, allocating work and supporting consistent online editing and delivery practices across projects. This includes ensuring online work is effectively planned, aligned with production schedules and delivered in line with creative direction, technical specifications and delivery requirements.

This is a hands-on role, combining team leadership with active involvement in online editing, conform and final delivery. The Online Editing Team Leader works closely with the Manager Finishing, as well as Editing, Production, Graphics and Design, Media and ICT teams to support efficient and integrated post-production workflows.

The role plays a key part in supporting delivery outcomes, maintaining technical quality and building capability within the team.

Qualifications & Experience

Essential:

• Demonstrated experience in online editing and finishing within film, television or media environments.
• Demonstrated experience supporting or supervising others, including coordinating work and providing guidance.
• Strong technical expertise in online editing tools and workflow including Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
• Experience delivering content to broadcast, streaming or platform specifications.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Desirable:

• Experience in documentary or factual production.
• Experience working across multiple concurrent productions.
