The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic team and play a key role in supporting the company’s financial operations. The primary focus of this role is to ensure that all daily, weekly, and monthly accounting entries are completed accurately and on time, in compliance with the Wild Desert Quality Management System.

Your Mission:

  • End-to-end administration of accounts receivable.
  • Closing out work sites and jobs and generating invoices in business management systems.
  • Checking reports and creating draft invoices in the accounting system.
  • Managing accounts receivable communications with clients and colleagues.
  • Follow-up of overdue invoices and investigating client queries.
  • Work with on-site crew for report accuracy and timeliness.
  • BAS Prep – Running BAS reports, analysing data, and uploading to business management system.
  • Assist with all accounting and finance tasks/projects on an ad hoc basis.

What you bring to the table:

  • A solid understanding of accounts receivable procedures.
  • A sound knowledge of basic bookkeeping is advantageous.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Proficient in Xero.
  • Ability to communicate at all levels, from Operations Teams to Executives.
  • Excellent observation and attention to detail.
  • Ability to complete tasks autonomously, accurately, and in a timely manner.

The Essentials:

  • Preferred but not required, 2 years of experience in an accounting or finance role.
  • Experience with business management systems (Salesforce is an
  • advantage).
  • Experience with businesses operating across multiple remote locations.
