About the Role

Customer Service – Front Desk/Reception

📍 Cannonvale | 💼 Full-Time | 🔒 Stable & Consistent

We’re looking for a friendly, organised and professional Customer Service team member to be the first point of contact for Whitsunday Foodservice, based at our Cannonvale Depot. Initially focused on customer service, this role also offers the opportunity to grow into Sales Support responsibilities over time as you build knowledge of our products, systems, and customers.

This position offers 25 hours per week, working Monday to Friday from 10:30 am to 3:30 pm, with some flexibility around start and finish times for the right candidate.

What You’ll Do:

  • Be the first point of contact for customers via phone, email, and in person, delivering friendly and professional service
  • Respond to enquiries about orders, products, pricing, deliveries, and ETAs in a timely and accurate manner
  • Manage incoming calls and the customer service inbox, ensuring nothing is missed
  • Support order processing, amendments, add-ons, and urgent request
  • Process payments and assist with general administration tasks, including mail and banking
  • Support walk-in customers and contribute to a well-run, professional front desk environment
  • Assist customers with online ordering, account queries, and troubleshooting issues
  • Monitor stock availability, communicate out-of-stocks, and recommend suitable alternatives
  • Liaise with purchasing, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure accurate information and smooth service delivery
  • Maintain accurate customer records, systems, and spreadsheets

  • Previous experience in customer service, administration, or office roles
  • Friendly, professional and confident communication (phone, email, and face-to-face)
  • Strong time management and attention to detail
  • Proactive, reliable, and able to work independently
  • Comfortable using systems, Microsoft Office (especially Excel), and learning new tools
  • Ability to build positive relationships with customers and team members
  • Professional presentation and strong organisational skill
  • Background or interest in Food and Hospitality highly desirable
  • Experience with ERP or CRM system advantageous
