Description

Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Accounts and Payroll Officer to join our team. As part of the Finance team, you will provide regular support to the Finance Manager, ensuring payroll and accounts payable and other financial necessities are met on time. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities:

  • Process weekly payroll and associated reporting
  • Compliance – ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies
  • Accounts Payable – data entry, weekly and monthly payments
  • Administrative support – including answering telephones, handling correspondence, preparing documents, managing emails
  • Maintain various registers and records.
  • Ensure quality delivery of services whilst managing own productivity and performance.
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years payroll experience, with EBA interpretation highly regarded;
  • Sound knowledge of payroll software, highly desirable knowledge of the Employment Hero suite.
  • Excellent all-round computer skills, intermediate excel and exposure to database management;
  • Discretion and judgement in dealing with sensitive information;
  • Customer service skills;
  • The ability to manage self to achieve outcomes in an environment of competing priorities;
  • Effective communicator across all levels;
  • Proven ability to work with limited direction;
  • Ability to work as part of a team with a can-do attitude and willingness to learn;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Knowledge of Xero & Visual Dispatch is desirable
  • Current Drivers Licence (P1 or above).
