Description

The West Coast Eagles is an iconic Australian sporting brand with over 100,000 members. The Club formed in August 1986, playing its first official match for premiership points in 1987. Our women’s side played its first game for AFLW premiership points in February 2020. Since then, the club has enjoyed significant success, winning premierships in 1992, 1994, 2006 and 2018. The club also has wide-spanning community and regional programs and is invested in a number of charity organisations, including the Waalitj Foundation.

About the role

The Consumer Communications Representative plays a vital role in providing first-class communication to West Coast Eagles members and fans, in addition to the provision of database support to allow engagement through the Club’s communications channels.

 

Reporting to the Consumer Content Communications Lead, responsibilities include:

  • Provide key support in the preparation and analysis of data for outbound communications.
  • Creation of eDMs and SMS campaigns, maintaining the Club’s membership website as well as other outbound communications to members and prospects.
  • Taking a proactive approach to supporting outbound campaigns for acquisition of new and renewing members, maximising attendances at matches and promoting sales at the West Coast Eagles SuperStore and other member engagement initiatives.
  • Assisting in the preparation and analysis of data for outbound communications.
  • Taking a lead role with the clean-up and preparation of data in the club’s membership database, Archtics, to ensure all activity is optimised.
  • Providing backup support to the Membership Services Team in frontline service to members (telephone and email), when required.

Due to the nature of the industry and this role, there is an inherent requirement to work home match days and other club events which will include working some evenings and weekends.

Additionally, you will have:

  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and strong visual design awareness.
  • Demonstrated ability to show initiative and work independently.
  • Highly developed problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Highly developed computer skills, including databases and the Microsoft Office suite of programs.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer databases, or CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated experience in a customer service or other retail position.
  • Experience using customer engagement platforms and Adobe Photoshop would be highly advantageous.
