Welcome Hospitality | Moonee Beach Hotel / Toormina Hotel

We’re looking for a motivated Venue Manager (3IC) to join our Coffs Coast team, based at either Moonee Beach Hotel or Toormina Hotel.

This is a hands-on, floor-based management role suited to an experienced Duty Manager or hospitality supervisor ready to take the next step.

Working as part of the venue management team, you’ll help lead our people, run great shifts and ensure our customers receive a consistently great experience.

What you’ll be doing

As Venue Manager (3IC), your focus will be on the successful day-to-day operation of the venue while you’re on shift.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Leading and supervising the team during shifts
• Opening and closing the venue and completing required procedures
• Coordinating day-to-day service across the venue
• Supporting and directing team members to ensure smooth and efficient operations
• Delivering high standards of customer service and handling customer enquiries or concerns
• Ensuring RSA, gaming, WHS and other venue compliance requirements are followed
• Managing cash handling, tills and end-of-shift procedures
• Supporting the training and development of team members
• Maintaining high standards of venue presentation, cleanliness and service
• Responding appropriately to incidents and escalating matters where required
• Communicating effectively with the wider management team and completing shift handovers
• Supporting the General Manager and senior venue management team with day-to-day operations

About you

You’ll be someone who is comfortable taking charge of a busy shift while still being willing to jump in and help wherever needed.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• Previous experience as a Duty Manager, Supervisor or in a similar hospitality leadership role
• Experience working in a busy pub, bar, restaurant or hospitality environment
• Confidence leading a team and running shifts
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• A practical understanding of RSA, gaming and venue compliance
• The ability to remain calm and make sensible decisions in a busy environment
• Current RSA and any other relevant NSW hospitality certifications
• Availability to work a flexible roster, including evenings and weekends
