The Glenmore Hotel | The Rocks, Sydney

The Glenmore is one of Sydney’s most iconic pubs, sitting in the heart of The Rocks with one of the city’s best-known rooftop bars and some of the best views in Sydney.

We’re looking for a Duty Manager to join our management team and help lead the day-to-day operation of this busy, high-volume venue.

This is a hands-on role and a great opportunity for an experienced Duty Manager, or a strong hospitality supervisor ready to take the next step into management.

The Role

As Duty Manager, you’ll be part of the venue management team, working closely with our General Manager and senior managers to deliver great service and keep the venue running smoothly.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Running shifts and leading the team through busy services
• Being visible on the floor and leading from the front
• Delivering a consistently great guest experience
• Coaching, supporting and developing our team
• Managing opening and closing procedures
• Handling guest feedback and resolving issues during service
• Maintaining high standards of presentation, service and cleanliness
• Supporting cash handling, stock and day-to-day operational processes
• Ensuring RSA, WHS and venue compliance standards are maintained
• Helping create a positive, energetic and high-performing team culture

About You

We’re looking for someone who loves hospitality and enjoys the buzz of a busy pub.

You’ll ideally have:

• Experience as a Duty Manager or Supervisor in a busy pub, bar or hospitality venue
• Confidence leading a team and taking ownership of a shift
• Strong communication and people skills
• A hands-on approach – you’re happiest on the floor with your team
• The ability to stay calm and make good decisions when things get busy
• A genuine focus on providing great customer experiences
• A desire to learn, develop and progress your hospitality career
• A current NSW RSA
