As a Chef de Partie at Gregory Hills Hotel you will play a vital role in our culinary team, ensuring the delivery of high-quality dishes that reflect our commitment to excellence in hospitality. You will be responsible for managing a specific section of the kitchen and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene. This position is essential for enhancing our guests’ dining experience and supporting the overall success of our establishment.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook high-quality dishes in your designated section of the kitchen.
  • Assist in the development and planning of menus, ensuring seasonal and local ingredients are utilised.
  • Supervise and train junior kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Monitor stock levels and assist in ordering supplies as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Head Chef to ensure consistency and quality in all food preparations.
  • Participate in kitchen meetings to discuss menu changes, special events, and operational improvements.

 

Qualifications:

  • Culinary qualification from a recognised institution.
  • Proven experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar role within a high-volume kitchen.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations.
  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for food and creativity.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to guide and motivate the kitchen team.
