We are seeking a Lead Electrical Designer to support the Wave International Electrical team in delivering high‑quality drawings from concept through to final design and construction.
Working across a broad range of projects, including bespoke electrical scopes, study phases, FEED and full project delivery, this role also provides design and drafting support across a variety of resources projects throughout Australia. You will be supported by a collaborative and experienced team, ensuring all work is delivered to a consistently high standard.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead electrical design, including preparation of reports and development of electrical improvement scopes.
- Collaborate effectively with clients and project teams, ensuring clear communication and seamless integration across disciplines.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior designers, fostering technical growth and best practices within the team.
- Deliver high-quality 2D and 3D design outputs, with proficiency in AutoCAD (and other relevant design tools).
Skills & Experience
- Proven background in electrical design across mineral processing and resources sectors, preferably within consultancy environment.
- Strong understanding of electrical/ Instrumentation design practices.
- Excellent written and verbal skills with the ability to clearly communicate discipline requirements to project teams and clients.
- Ability to deliver cost-effective, best-practice design and drafting solutions.
This is an office‑based role located in our Brisbane office.
