Electrical Designer

We provide innovative project strategies and practical solutions across battery minerals, mineral sands, gold, bulk dry commodities and a range of other resource and industrial sectors.

As part of our continued growth, Wave is establishing an Electrical, Instrumentation & Control Systems (E&IC) Team in our Jakarta office to support Australian and international mining and mineral processing projects.

We are seeking Electrical Designers to join our Jakarta team. Working alongside experienced engineers and designers, you will contribute to front-end engineering design (FEED), detailed design and project delivery phases across a diverse portfolio of mining and resource projects. This role offers the opportunity to develop your technical capability while working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams supporting both Australian and international clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare electrical design drawings and documentation using AutoCAD and related design software.
• Develop design deliverables including SLDs, schematics, cable schedules, layouts, terminations and installation drawings.
• Support the design of HV and LV electrical systems for mining, mineral processing and industrial projects.
• Assist with technical documentation, specifications and design packages.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality project outcomes.
• Participate in design reviews and ensure compliance with project and client standards.
• Support projects through concept, FEED and detailed design phases.

Skills & Experience:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Experience as an Electrical Designer within mining, resources, industrial, infrastructure or similar sectors.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with Autodesk products is highly regarded.
• Experience preparing electrical design documentation and drawings.
• Understanding of electrical design principles, drafting standards and project delivery requirements.
• Ability to interpret technical specifications and engineering documentation.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication and teamwork skills.
• Experience supporting Australian or international projects will be advantageous.
