The Opportunity
Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced HR Hook Lift Truck Driver to join our team based in Virginia, servicing sites across the greater Brisbane area.
You will collect and deliver hook lift bins safely and on time, working across commercial and industrial sites while providing professional service to customers.
The role includes early morning starts, overtime as required and rostered weekend work. Previous full-time hook lift waste truck driving experience is essential.
Key responsibilities:
- Collect and deliver hook lift bins in a timely and safe manner
- Work safely around traffic, heavy vehicles and machinery on active commercial and industrial sites
- Complete daily pre-start inspections, maintenance checks, paperwork and safety documentation
- Comply with workplace health and safety, Chain of Responsibility and heavy vehicle requirements
- Keep the vehicle clean, presentable and ready for service
- Communicate throughout the day with the operations team and customers on site
About you
You’re an experienced, dependable and safety-focused hook lift driver who takes pride in your vehicle, your work and the service you provide.
You will have:
- A current Australian HR driver’s licence
- Proven full-time experience operating hook lift waste trucks
- Experience driving waste trucks in metropolitan and greater Brisbane traffic
- A strong understanding of transport safety, compliance and safe loading practices
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Flexibility to work early starts, overtime and rostered weekends
- A clean driving record and the ability to provide a current traffic history
- Physical fitness, reliability and the ability to pass a pre-employment medical, police check and drug and alcohol testing
