This is a part-time role suited to someone who takes pride in accuracy, stays organised under a regular weekly rhythm, and enjoys getting the numbers right.

You’ll be a key part of making sure our kaimahi, the people who deliver frontline support to wāhine and whānau, are paid correctly and on time, every time.

The role

Reporting to the Head of Finance, you will:

  • process payroll accurately and on time each week
  • maintain payroll records, including leave, timesheets and employee changes
  • ensure correct application of payroll legislation, including public holiday pay and on-call/allowance rates
  • process accounts payable and receivable, including coding and reconciling invoices
  • reconcile bank accounts and assist with month-end processes
  • support the Head of Finance with ad hoc financial administration and reporting
  • respond to kaimahi payroll queries with care, clarity and confidentiality
  • assist with KiwiSaver, PAYE and other statutory payroll requirements

About you

  • experience in payroll processing and knowledge of payroll systems, particularly Employment Hero, is strongly advantageous
  • working knowledge of NZ payroll legislation, including public holidays and on-call/allowance rates, is very helpful
  • accounts clerk or bookkeeping experience (accounts payable/receivable, reconciliations)
  • high attention to detail and accuracy
  • ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
  • good communication skills, comfortable liaising with kaimahi across the organisation
  • available to work Mondays, with flexibility around the remaining days and hours

Why this role matters

A well-run payroll and finance function is what allows our kaimahi to focus on their mahi supporting wāhine and whānau, knowing the administrative side is in safe, capable hands.

If you’re accurate, organised, and take satisfaction in getting the detail right, we’d like to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV and a brief cover note outlining your relevant payroll and accounts experience.
