Vaughan Infrastructure is a leading civil
construction company delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across
Australia. Due to continued growth, we’re seeking an experienced Pipelayer to
join our Brisbane team and play a key role in delivering a major civil
utilities contract across North Brisbane.
About the
Role
Reporting to the Site Supervisor/Foreman, you
will be responsible for the safe and accurate installation of underground
utility infrastructure. Working alongside a skilled civil construction team,
you’ll contribute to the delivery of water, sewer and stormwater networks while
maintaining high standards of safety, quality and productivity.
Key
Responsibilities
- Install sewer, stormwater and water reticulation infrastructure in
accordance with project specifications and drawings.
- Lay and connect a range of pipe types and sizes, ensuring accuracy
and quality workmanship.
- Read and interpret construction plans, levels and set-out
information.
- Work safely around excavations, plant and underground services.
- Assist with trench preparation, pipe bedding, backfilling and
testing activities.
- Operate small plant and equipment where appropriately licensed and
competent.
- Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area.
- Work collaboratively with Supervisors, Foremen and fellow crew
members to achieve project milestones.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Proven experience as a Pipelayer within the civil construction
industry.
- Strong knowledge of sewer, stormwater and water main installation.
- Experience reading and interpreting construction drawings and
specifications.
- A strong understanding of safe excavation and underground service
installation practices.
- Excellent teamwork skills and a proactive, reliable work ethic.
- A strong commitment to safety, quality and productivity.
