The Opportunity
We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Shipyard Groundsman / Handyman to support the ongoing upkeep, presentation, and general maintenance of our shipyard facilities.
This role will suit someone who enjoys variety, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable carrying out practical tasks across an active marine and heavy industry environment.
- General grounds and yard maintenance
- Cleaning, tidying, and keeping work areas safe and organised
- Basic repairs and handyman tasks around the site
- Assisting with facilities upkeep and minor maintenance
- Supporting trades and yard teams as required
- Moving materials, equipment, and supplies around the yard
- Identifying and reporting hazards, maintenance issues, or repairs required

What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for a practical, reliable and hands-on person with experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Groundskeeping, yard maintenance, or facilities upkeep
- General handyman work, basic repairs, or property maintenance
- Mechanical repairs, basic servicing, or assisting with maintenance tasks
- Working alongside a qualified diesel fitter or tradesperson to support repair and maintenance work
You’ll thrive in this role if you are:
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to get stuck in
- Confident using hand tools, basic equipment, and practical problem-solving skills
- Comfortable assisting with mechanical repairs under the guidance of a qualified diesel fitter
- Able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
- Safety-focused and comfortable working in physically demanding outdoor and industrial environments
- A self-starter with a positive attitude and strong work ethic

- Forklift Licence
- Elevated Work Platform (EWP)
- Current Drivers Licence
