Due to continued growth, we are seeking a motivated and commercially minded Management Accountant to join our Knoxfield team.
About the Role
Reporting to the General Manager, with a dotted line to the Group CFO, this is a hands-on Management Accountant position that supports both financial operations and business performance.
You’ll play a key role in delivering accurate financial reporting, managing month-end processes, supporting inventory and manufacturing accounting, monitoring cashflow and providing valuable financial insight to operational leaders.
Working closely with production, warehouse, sales and management teams, you’ll help ensure financial information is accurate, meaningful and supports informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly accounts to trial balance
- Complete month-end journals, accruals and reconciliations
- Manage general ledger integrity and balance sheet reconciliations
- Support Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and payroll activities
- Prepare cashflow reporting and forecasting analysis
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting and financial reporting
- Reconcile inventory and manufacturing transactions
- Support stocktakes, inventory valuation and product costing activities
- Analyse business performance and provide financial insights
- Work closely with operational teams to improve processes and reporting
- Support ERP optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives
- Assist with compliance, audit and statutory reporting requirements
About You
You are a practical and commercially focused accountant who enjoys working closely with stakeholders and understanding how the business operates.
You’ll ideally bring:
- Experience in a Management Accountant, Assistant Accountant or similar role
- Strong month-end accounting and reconciliation experience
- Well-developed financial reporting and analytical skills
- Advanced Microsoft Excel capability
- Experience working with ERP systems
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- A proactive, hands-on approach and willingness to take ownership
Highly Regarded
- Manufacturing, distribution or inventory-based industry experience
- Inventory accounting, stock control and product costing knowledge
- Payroll experience
- ERP implementation or system improvement experience
- CA or CPA qualification (or working towards completion)
- Experience with Epicor or similar ERP systems
