Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented SMSF Accountant to join our dynamic team in Sydney CBD. This permanent, full-time role is essential for managing self-managed superannuation funds, ensuring compliance with Australian regulations, and providing expert financial advice to our clients. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting our clients’ financial goals while contributing to the overall success of our accountancy practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and lodge SMSF annual returns and financial statements
  • Conduct audits of self-managed superannuation funds to ensure compliance with legislation
  • Provide tax advice and support to clients regarding their SMSF
  • Assist clients in the establishment and maintenance of their SMSF
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for all SMSF transactions
  • Liaise with clients to address queries and provide exceptional customer service
  • Stay updated with changes in legislation affecting SMSFs and implement necessary changes
  • Collaborate with other team members to enhance service delivery and client satisfaction

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in SMSF accounting or a similar role
  • Strong understanding of Australian superannuation laws and regulations
  • Proficient in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
