About V-DAQ
V-DAQ builds fleet management and telematics systems for Australian transport operators. We ship hardware to customers across the country, and our fulfilment operation plays a big role in getting our customers moving. It’s also where our customers’ first impression of V-DAQ products often forms, in the condition of their package, the speed it arrives, and whether we got the order right the first time.
We’re looking for someone who can own that work and pick up customer support enquiries as well. This is a split role across fulfilment and support.
The role
You’ll work in our fulfilment and dispatch workflow: allocating stock, picking and packing orders, coordinating shipments, and tracking inventory. Alongside that, you’ll take on parts of our general customer support work, helping customers with product questions and troubleshooting, not just enquiries tied to an order. You won’t sit in the same shared queue as our dedicated support team, but you’ll be doing real support work, not just the fulfilment – adjacent edges of it.
Some days you’ll be hands-on in our fulfilment area. Other days you’ll be on the phone or email helping a customer set up a device or work through a problem. You’ll work closely with a range of teams across V-DAQ.
You don’t need inventory or dispatch software experience, or prior telematics experience; we’ll train you on the systems and products. What matters is that you’re organised, detail-oriented, and comfortable moving between hands-on logistics work and customer conversations.
This role suits you if
- You’ve worked in retail, warehouse, logistics, trades or admin, any role where organisation and accuracy directly affect the outcome.
- You listen first and ask questions before jumping to a solution.
- You can explain something technical in plain English, whether that’s a shipping delay or how a device works.
- You manage detail well. You double-check your own work and you keep records clean.
- You’re comfortable with hands-on work. Picking and packing isn’t beneath you; it’s part of the job.
This role isn’t for you if
- You see support as a distraction from “real” work, or fulfilment as beneath you. Here, both are equally real.
- You prefer to stay in one lane. This role requires switching between fulfilment and customer work depending on the day.
- You measure success by how fast you move through tasks. We measure it by how few mistakes leave the building and how well you solve customer problems.
What you’ll do
- Pick and pack orders accurately and efficiently.
- Allocate stock and manage inventory in our systems.
- Coordinate shipments and track deliveries.
- Handle a share of general customer support: product questions, setup help, and troubleshooting.
- Answer enquiries about orders, shipments and returns, and resolve issues like wrong items, damaged goods or delivery problems through to resolution.
- Work with our support team and product teams when an issue needs their input.
- Keep fulfilment and customer records accurate and up to date.
- Spot patterns in what goes wrong and help us fix the cause, not just the symptom.
Benefits
- Salary range: $60,000 to $70,000 + super
- Modern offices in Wollongong close to the beach, with reserved parking and easy access to public transport.
- Real career growth in a company that’s expanding.
- A share in the company’s success as it grows.
