TRUCK TECH is looking for experienced Field Service Diesel Mechanics to join our team on a permanent afternoon shift, 3pm–11pm, based at a major client site in Narangba.

This is a great opportunity for a capable mechanic who enjoys working independently without being left unsupported. You’ll have a fully equipped TRUCK TECH service ute, solid systems behind you, and leaders who understand the realities of the job because they’ve been on the tools themselves.

What You’ll Be Doing

You’ll be responsible for keeping our client’s heavy vehicle fleet moving, including:

  • Servicing, maintaining and repairing heavy vehicles on site
  • Diagnosing faults and getting to the root cause of problems
  • Completing repairs safely, efficiently and to a high standard
  • Communicating directly and clearly with customers and the TRUCK TECH team
  • Keeping job documentation and reporting accurate and up to date
  • Looking after your service ute, tools and work area
  • Working to TRUCK TECH’s safety and quality standards every day

 

What We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who knows their way around heavy vehicles and can be trusted to take ownership of the job.

You’ll ideally bring:

  • Cert III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology – essential
  • 3–5+ years’ experience in heavy vehicle maintenance or field service
  • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
  • Confidence working independently
  • Current driver’s licence – HR highly regarded
  • Good time management and customer communication skills
  • A safety-first mindset and genuine pride in your workmanship
  • Full Australian working rights
