Current opportunities

Greater Beveridge Kindergarten – Cert III Educator

• Part-time, maximum term until the end of 2026
• 17.5 hours per week
• Wednesday and Friday

Spring Street Kindergarten – Cert III Educator

• Part-time, maximum term until the end of 2026
• 26.25 hours per week
• Monday, Wednesday and Thursday

The Cert III Educator positions are currently available for Term 4, 2026. While these positions are maximum term until the end of 2026, there may be opportunities to continue with Sparkways through another suitable vacancy or by joining our busy relief team and picking up additional shifts across our services.

Whittlesea ELC – Room Leader

• Lead and support a team while providing high-quality learning and care for children.

About the roles

As part of our kindergarten and early learning teams, you will contribute to creating safe, inclusive and engaging environments where children can explore, play and learn.

Depending on the position, your responsibilities may include:

• Supporting children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
• Implementing engaging, play-based and child-led learning experiences.
• Building strong relationships with children, families and colleagues.
• Supporting observations, documentation and learning programs.
• Supporting inclusive practices and children with additional needs.
• Working collaboratively as part of a passionate early childhood team.
• For the Room Leader position, providing leadership, guidance and support to the Educator team and contributing to the overall quality of the room program.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking experienced and passionate early childhood professionals who:

• Hold a Cert III, Diploma or other relevant ACECQA-approved qualification, depending on the position.
• Have experience working in an early childhood or kindergarten setting.
• Have experience working with 3- and 4-year-old children, including children with additional needs.
• Understand play-based and child-led learning.
• Are confident supporting children’s learning and development.
• Can contribute to observations, documentation and programming.
• Have a positive, reliable and collaborative approach.
• Are passionate about creating an inclusive and nurturing environment for every child.

For the Room Leader position, previous Room Leader or senior Educator experience will be highly regarded.

If you are interested in part-time work but would like the opportunity to increase your hours, you can also ask about joining our relief team on your available days.

This can provide opportunities to work across different Sparkways services, gain experience in different environments and pick up additional shifts when available.
