Casual Educators – Sparkways Sessional Kindergartens

Join Sparkways’ Casual Relief Team

• Work at our sessional kindergartens in the Northern or Western suburbs
• Diploma qualified – up to $48.22 per hour
• Cert III qualified – up to $44.85 per hour
• Opportunities to trial in permanent positions for 2026 and 2027

Locations

Western Suburbs: Footscray, Tarneit, Point Cook, Melton, Thornhill and 8 other locations across the western suburbs.

Northern Suburbs: Whittlesea, Beveridge, Donnybrook, Mernda, Doreen, Thomastown, Mill Park and surrounding areas.

Eligibility to Apply

• Completed qualifications – Certificate III or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care
• Confident and experienced in working with children with additional needs
• Available at least three (3) days per week to accept shifts, in most week
• Available to work in at least 4 suburbs where we have kindergartnes
• Rapid Response -preference if you can accept shifts at 6.00 am and start work by 8.30 am on the same day
• Available for 8 hour shift starting at 8.00 am
• Positive references from your Centre Directors or Nominated Supervisors over the last 5 years
• People describe you as child-centred, dependable, confident, competent, positive and energetic
• You love working with children, and are eager to work with different groups, educators and teachers

• Applicants with Graduate Diplomas can apply as Educators, but will not be eligible for casual teaching roles – casual teachers need to have at least 3-years of Teaching Experience
