Summary:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist plays a crucial role in optimizing the procurement process within our manufacturing and production operations. Based in Lebanon, Tennessee, this position is integral to enhancing supplier relationships, reducing costs, and ensuring the timely delivery of quality materials. This role will focus on categories including fasteners, MRO supplies, adhesives, consumables, safety products, tools, and other indirect and production support materials. The successful candidate will contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of our supply chain, aligning sourcing strategies with business objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize procurement processes.
- Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and assess their capabilities.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure the best terms and conditions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of sourcing strategies with production needs.
- Monitor supplier performance and conduct regular evaluations to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Analyze spend data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve procurement efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of supplier contracts, pricing, and performance metrics.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in sourcing and procurement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in strategic sourcing or procurement within the manufacturing sector.
- Strong negotiation skills and experience in contract management.
- Proficient in data analysis and familiar with procurement software and tools.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build effective supplier relationships.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Experience working with ERP/MRP systems and procurement software.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Preferred experience supporting automotive, EV, electronics, or industrial manufacturing operations.
