Do you enjoy building the data foundations that power AI, automation, and smarter business decisions?
At Trilogy Care, we’re one of Australia’s fastest-growing approved Support at Home (HCP/S@H) providers, transforming aged care through technology, innovation, and exceptional people. Our purpose-driven team is helping older Australians live independently at home for longer, while creating meaningful impact for our clients, their families, and each other.
About the Role
We’re looking for a Senior Data Engineer – Integration & Pipelines to connect Trilogy Care’s operational, financial, CRM, communications, and workforce systems with our Databricks lakehouse. In this role, you’ll build scalable ingestion pipelines, API integrations, and trusted data models that enable reporting, AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making across the business.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Design, build and maintain robust API integrations and ingestion pipelines across CRM, finance, workforce, communications and operational systems.
- Develop scalable, reliable Databricks pipelines using Delta Lake, PySpark and streaming technologies, with a focus on resilience, monitoring and automated recovery.
- Design and maintain dimensional data models that support reporting, analytics and AI workloads.
- Build and maintain REST APIs that deliver secure, curated data to internal applications, dashboards and AI solutions.
- Implement data quality, governance and monitoring processes, including validation, anomaly detection and pipeline observability.
- Mentor junior engineers, promote engineering best practices and help grow the team’s integration capability.
What You’ll Bring
- Expert in building production data pipelines consuming REST APIs at scale — OAuth2, pagination, rate limiting, webhook processing, and error handling.
- 7+ years’ experience in Data Engineering, building production-grade data pipelines.
- Strong Python, SQL, Databricks (or Spark/PySpark) and API integration experience.
- Expertise in dimensional data modelling, Delta Lake, pipeline reliability, and CI/CD practices.
- Experience building REST APIs and working with modern cloud-based data platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to document and explain complex data flows.
- A degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering or a related discipline (or equivalent industry experience).
Experience in healthcare, aged care, AWS, CDC technologies, event-driven architecture or AI/ML data products will be highly regarded.
