About the Role

Working alongside experienced engineers and industry professionals, you will gain practical exposure to a wide range of engineering and project activities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Detailed engineering design and layout work.
  • Assisting with project scoping and planning.
  • Preparing tender documentation and cost estimates.
  • Assisting with tender evaluation and preparation of recommendation reports and presentations.
  • Ensuring completed works comply with relevant codes, standards and project requirements.
  • Supporting quality, safety and environmental requirements across projects.
  • Working closely with engineering, project management, manufacturing, service and other departments to ensure projects are completed safely, on time and within budget.
  • Liaising with external fabricators, consultants, tradespeople and other industry professionals.
  • Developing your understanding of industrial refrigeration systems, equipment, manufacturing and project delivery.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic engineer who is keen to learn, develop and build a long-term career within the industrial refrigeration industry.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A tertiary qualification, minimum Bachelor of Engineering (B.Eng.), in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Graduate to less than 5 years’ post-graduation experience, preferably with exposure to industrial refrigeration, mechanical services, manufacturing or a related industry.
  • The ability to create, read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive approach with the ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team.
  • A genuine willingness to learn and develop through exposure to different areas of the business.
  • The confidence to communicate with consultants, fabricators, tradespeople, suppliers and other professionals.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • A current and valid Australian driver’s licence.
