The Role

Mobile Test ‘n’ Cal is a division of the Trescal Australia Pty Ltd, the largest 3rd party calibration organisation in the world.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Field Technician who enjoys travel, customer engagement, and professional growth. You’ll be the face of the business in South Australia, ensuring customers receive exceptional service leaving them with the best impression of the business. With some interstate travel, you’ll help expand our reach while developing the potential to lead a key area of our South Australia operations supported by our BD And KAM teams.

  

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform calibrations, verifications, testing, preventative maintenance and repairs as requested by the customer and instructed by the Field Team Leader for our customers.
  • Ensure all calibrations are performed as per documented MTC calibration procedures.
  • Ensure all jobs are completed in a timely fashion with best possible TAT
  • Ensure that reports are accurate and error free before they are submitted to Service Coordinators, Team Leaders or clients
  • Coordinate Maintenance and Calibration of Internal equipment
  • Participate to ensure that the nominated monthly invoiced work target is achieved.
  • Be involved and responsible for resolving first-line customer queries and complaints as required.
  • Participate and encourage teamwork within the service area and company as a whole.
  • Delivering service to company KPI’s and QA
  • Maintenance and calibration of internal equipment
  • Ensure any Laptops and Phones provided are treated with care and maintained in good order. Any problems, loss or damage are to be brought to the attention of your Field Manager or State Manager
  • Ensure any personal accident occurring on site or in Trescal Labs is reported to your Team Leader or Branch Manager and OHS Officer immediately.
  • Ensure risk assessments, JSA, SWMS are completed as appropriate times
  • Participation in field management meetings and laboratory toolbox meetings
  • Assist with pricing and quoting as directed by the Team Leader
  • Looking after company asset at all times- help preserve service life
  • Any other reasonable tasks as instructed by the Field Team Leader or Branch Manager

 

Required Personal Qualities

  • Formal Electrical and or Electronics qualifications- diploma or equivalent
  • Ideally knowledge of calibration industries-familiar with NATA and Traceable calibration
  • Basic computer applications e.g.Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to stick to agreed deadlines
  • Flexibility and a team-based approach to tackle workload day-to-day
  • A passion for continuous improvement
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • An open mind and “can do “and solution focused attitude
  • Professional presentation and approach to the job, colleagues and clients.
  • Professional level of written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Dedication to building long lasting relationships with customers and stakeholders

Working Conditions 

  • Normal working conditions, OT as required by the business
  • Frequent stays in hotels for job duration
  • Working across South Australia and occasionally interstate on customer sites.
