Description

This isn’t your typical Rooms Division role.

If your idea of Rooms is checking guests in and out, managing housekeeping schedules, answering phones and storing luggage, this probably isn’t the opportunity for you.

At Treehouse Hotels, we believe our guests should feel like they’re staying with friends who genuinely care—not simply checking into another hotel.

We’re looking for a Rooms Division Manager who understands that every interaction is an opportunity to create a story worth sharing.

Someone who believes hospitality is deeply personal.

Someone who loves building teams, creating culture and bringing spaces to life.

Most importantly, someone who wants to help shape a hotel from day one.

About Treehouse Adelaide

Opening soon in Adelaide’s vibrant Market Square precinct, Treehouse Adelaide is inspired by nature, neighbourhood and playful discovery.

We’re creating a hotel that feels welcoming, relaxed and wonderfully unexpected—a place where locals and travellers naturally come together.

As a pre-opening leader, you’ll play a pivotal role in creating the guest experience before our first guest even walks through the door.

The Role

This is an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Rooms leader who loves the challenge of building something from the ground up.

You’ll lead the Front Office, Guest Services and Housekeeping teams while helping establish the systems, standards and service culture that will define Treehouse Adelaide for years to come.

We’re looking for someone who enjoys creating order from ambiguity.

Someone who has experience:

  • Opening hotels from the ground up.
  • Developing operating procedures and service standards.
  • Implementing systems and technology.
  • Recruiting, onboarding and training new teams.
  • Building confidence in first-time hospitality professionals.
  • Creating service cultures rather than simply managing departments.

You’ll be part of a small but mighty leadership team, where collaboration isn’t optional—it’s simply how we operate.

At Treehouse, titles don’t define contribution. You’ll roll up your sleeves, support your colleagues across departments and do whatever it takes to ensure every guest enjoys a seamless, genuine and memorable Treehouse experience.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the successful pre-opening of the Rooms Division.
  • Developing and implementing operational systems, policies and SOPs.
  • Recruiting, training and inspiring an engaged, high-performing team.
  • Creating a service culture that feels natural, warm and authentic.
  • Working closely with Engineering, Food & Beverage, Sales and Marketing to deliver one seamless guest journey.
  • Driving guest satisfaction, quality standards and operational excellence.
  • Championing continuous improvement and finding better ways of doing things every day.
  • Leading from the floor—coaching, supporting and celebrating your team.
  • Ensuring every guest interaction reflects the Treehouse spirit.

About You

You’re an operational leader, but more importantly, you’re a people leader.

You understand that exceptional guest experiences begin with engaged team members.

You’ll bring:

  • Previous Rooms Division or Front Office leadership experience within lifestyle or luxury hotels.
  • Pre-opening experience is highly regarded.
  • Experience implementing hotel systems, procedures and operational standards.
  • A passion for coaching, mentoring and developing people.
  • Calmness under pressure and the ability to thrive in changing environments.
  • Strong commercial awareness balanced with genuine hospitality.
  • The confidence to make decisions while empowering others.
  • A collaborative leadership style and willingness to support the wider hotel operation whenever required.

Most importantly, you’re curious, humble and kind.

Why Join Treehouse?

Because you’ll have the opportunity to help create something from the very beginning.

You’ll join a team that values personality as much as process.

Where hierarchy takes a back seat to collaboration.

Where leaders are expected to be visible, approachable and willing to jump in wherever they’re needed.

At Treehouse, we’re not just opening a hotel—we’re creating a place where guests feel connected, team members feel they belong, and every stay feels a little less ordinary.

If you’re ready to build a Rooms operation that people will talk about long after they’ve checked out, we’d love to hear from you.

Treehouse Hotels. Stay Curious.

Company Overview

Life at Treehouse At Treehouse, we’re a team of kind-hearted people who welcome everyone like old friends. We believe great hospitality should feel warm, natural and full of personality — never stiff, scripted or overly serious. We’re playful, optimistic and curious, and we’re always looking for ways to make someone’s day a little brighter. We believe in rolling up our sleeves and getting things done together. Titles and job descriptions don’t stop us from jumping in to help one another, particularly when there’s an opportunity to create something special. We look for people who bring positive energy, see possibilities rather than problems, and aren’t afraid to try something new. Curiosity is a big part of who we are. Treehouse is inspired by that sense of freedom and discovery we had as kids — exploring, imagining and seeing the world a little differently. We celebrate individuality, creativity and things that are perfectly imperfect. You don’t need to leave your personality at the door when you come to work with us. We also believe a Treehouse should belong to its neighbourhood and community. Our hotels are places for locals as much as travellers — filled with great food, drinks, music, people and experiences that reflect where we live. In Adelaide, that means celebrating the incredible produce, makers, growers, winemakers, artists, musicians and characters that make South Australia special. And, of course, we care about the birds, the bees and the trees. Being conscious of our impact on the planet is part of how we operate, from the things we source and the waste we reduce to the local partners and communities we support. Above all, Treehouse is about creating really good times — for our guests, our neighbours and each other. So, if you’re kind, curious, playful and positive, love being part of a team, aren’t afraid to roll up your sleeves and want to help us build something a little different in Adelaide, come play with us.
