Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Practice Manager to oversee the daily operations of our Hibberson Street Medical Centre. The Practice Manager will report to the Canberra Operations Manager and work alongside a team of dedicated and skilled Practice Managers. The
successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient operation, providing exceptional care to our valued patients, and maintaining a positive working environment.
Responsibilities

Team Leadership: Manage and supervise staff, including hiring, training,
and performance evaluations.

Operations & Scheduling: Manage rosters and timesheets, including shift
reallocation and leave planning.

Compliance & Policy: Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure
efficient workflow and compliance with regulations. Lead accreditation compliance and drive process improvement initiatives.

Financial Management: Monitor and manage financial performance, including
budgeting, billing, and collections.

Patient Relations & Conflict Resolution: Maintain a high level of customer
service by addressing patient concerns swiftly. Act as the primary point
of escalation for resolving workplace grievances, staff friction, or
doctor-administrative misalignments with diplomacy and empathy.

Clinical Collaboration: Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure quality
patient care and effective communication.

Facilities Management: Oversee facilities management, maintaining cleanliness and
ensuring a pristine clinic presentation.

Culture: Create a positive team environment, valuing individual contributions and leading by example.
Selection Criteria
- Minimum 1 year of experience as a Practice Manager in a General Practice setting.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to manage
difficult conversations and resolve conflicts constructively.
- Up-to-date knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Best Practice software.
- Ability to inspire, empower, and foster a positive team environment.
