 Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly Permanent Part-Time Medical Receptionist (24 hours per week) to join our team at Cooleman Court Medical Centre. As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a crucial role in representing our clinic. You will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, managing appointments, handling inquiries, and supporting our doctors and clinical staff with day-to-day administrative tasks.

 Responsibilities

  • Patient Care: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly, empathetic, and professional manner.
  • Appointment Management: Manage patient appointments efficiently, including scheduling, rescheduling, and cancellations.
  • Data Integrity: Verify and update patient information accurately using Best Practice software.
  • Communication: Handle incoming phone calls, manage general inquiries, and relay messages to staff promptly and accurately.
  • Administration: Support doctors and clinical staff members with routine administration tasks.
  • Billing: Process patient billing and payments in strict accordance with business and Medicare guidelines.
  • Compliance & Privacy: Maintain accurate, secure patient records in full compliance with healthcare privacy regulations.
  • Conflict Resolution: Resolve patient concerns effectively while maintaining a high standard of customer service.

 Selection Criteria

  • Experience: Previous experience in a medical administration or fast-paced customer service role is highly preferred.
  • Software Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Best Practice clinical software is highly advantageous.
  • Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong interpersonal capabilities.
  • Organization: Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask under pressure.
  • Availability: Flexibility to work a variety of days and times to meet the permanent 24-hour weekly schedule.
