Description

Touch Football Australia is seeking a proactive and highly capable Marketing And Communications Specialist to lead the delivery of clear, engaging and consistent communications across the organisation, whilst working collaboratively with the wider Commercial team and supporting the Marketing team function.  

Reporting to the Senior Marketing Manager, this hands-on role will manage communications from planning and drafting through to approval, publication and evaluation. The successful candidate will be an excellent writer and storyteller who can work confidently across corporate communications, media relations, social media, digital channels and major sporting events.  

A key focus of the role will be strengthening TFA’s public profile by building productive media relationships, proactively identifying positive stories and showcasing the people, communities and achievements that make Touch Football great. The role will also own LinkedIn content across TFA’s corporate profile and the CEO’s profile, while providing broader marketing and social media support.  

Key responsibilities will include:  

  • Planning, drafting and publishing media releases, whole-of-sport announcements, internal communications, EDMs, website articles and executive messages.  
  • Owning the content strategy, editorial calendar and end-to-end output for TFA’s corporate LinkedIn profile and the CEO’s LinkedIn profile.  
  • Developing proactive media opportunities and pitching compelling event, athlete, volunteer, participation and community stories.  
  • Building relationships with journalists and media outlets, coordinating media enquiries and preparing spokespeople for interviews.  
  • Planning and delivering media and communications activities at major TFA events, including media calls, commentary coordination and post-event content.  
  • Supporting marketing campaigns and TFA’s broader social media channels through content development, publishing, monitoring and performance reporting.  
  • Maintaining consistent messaging, tone of voice and brand standards across TFA’s communications.  
  • Monitoring media coverage, audience engagement and emerging reputation opportunities or risks.
